The District VI mission is to

• facilitate the sharing of information about our affiliates TFMC and NFMC,

• inform members about the clubs in our area and their events and activities,

• encourage music education and the promotion of American music and American artists,

• promote festivals and encourage junior student participation,

• encourage collegiate and senior participation in musical activities,

• disseminate information about state/national awards and scholarships,

• support the development and maintenance of high musical standards, and

• foster music appreciation, performance, and member collegiality.

District VI includes eight music clubs in Central Texas with a total of approximately 190 members:  Opus 64 Music Teachers Club, Austin; Music Club Austin (formerly Wednesday Morning Music Club); Etude Music Club of San Antonio; Gonzales Music Study Club; New Braunfels Music Study Club; Arpeggio Festival Music Club, San Antonio; Crownridge Music Club, San Antonio; and Russian Ukrainian Overtones, Austin.

TFMC District VI is a Sustaining Member of Inspiration Point Fine Arts Colony in support of Opera in the Ozarks.
